Hot Chocolate Stir Sticks

Solid chocolate attached to a candy cane as a handle, stir into hot milk and watch it dissolve.

Equipment

  • Large muffin pan

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chocolate melts or chips
  • 12 large candy canes
  • 1/2 cup marshmallows
  • extra chocolate for drizzle optional

Instructions

  • Line a large muffin pan with muffin/cupcake liners.
  • Put 4 cups of chocolate into a microwave bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each one until the chocolate is fully melted.
  • Divide the melted chocolate amongst 12 cupcake tins. Sprinkle with marshmallows and set in the fridge to stiffen slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Keep an eye on it so that it doesn't completely solidify.
  • One the chocolate is hard enough to insert a candy cane into so that it stands up straight, poke in the large candy canes into the center of the chocolate filled muffin tins.
  • Once all the candy canes are inserted, put the muffin pan back in the fridge to solidify the chocolate all the way through.
  • Once the chocolate is completely solid, decorate the stir sticks. Remove them from the muffin liners and drizzle with more chocolate.
  • Store at room temperature in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap.
