Servings 18 inch square pan
Ingredients
3/4cupcocoa powder
1 ⅓cupsugar
1/4tspsalt
½tspvanilla extract
5oz.melted unsalted butter (or 10 tbsp)
2cold large eggs
1/3cupall purpose flour
1cupcrushed walnuts or pecans optional
Instructions
Heat the oven to 325°F. Line an 8x8 inch square pan with tin foil and set aside.
In a medium bowl whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar and salt. Stir in the melted butter and vanilla.
Add the eggs, one at a time. Stir until the batter lightens in colour for about 1-2 minutes.
Add in the flour and mix until just combined. Fold in the nuts if you're choosing to include them.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 28-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with a little bit of fudge clinging to it. Cool the brownies on a wire rack for about 45 minutes to one hour then gently lift the tinfoil out of the pan to remove them. Cut into squares (it helps to wipe the knife after each cut) and enjoy!
