Easy Camping Meal – Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

When you’re camping, it can be hard to replicate a hearty meal on a camp stove. Especially a meal that doesn’t feel overly greasy or processed (love a good instant ramen but let’s try to be better). I recently made a beef and broccoli stir fry for the first time at home, and was surprised […]

The Perfect Travel Shoe for BC Adventurers

If you’re looking for a versatile shoe that fits all your travel needs, let me put you on to Vessi’s. I first discovered Vessi three years ago and have been obsessed with their design concept. Now I’ve had the opportunity to try 2 of Vessi’s new products, and after putting them through the travel test […]

Easy Camping Meal: Potato Soup for 2

Just because we’re getting in to the colder months, doesn’t mean camping has to end! 2021 was the first year I went camping year round, and let me tell you it’s a character builder. However, I keep finding myself planning fall and winter excursions because there’s something that’s just so special about camping this time […]

Cozy Fall Soup Recipe: Sweet Potato and Ginger Soup

This recipe is so easy and definitely a fall favourite of mine. My mom came up with this recipe many years ago and usually makes it for lunch on gloomy fall days. Sometimes when we’re on Galiano Island and spending the day outside in the cold, she’ll carry this out in mugs for everyone and […]

Campfire Bread on a Stick

Personally, after a long day outside nothing is […]

Fudgy Brownies

Everybody needs a good brownie recipe. Instead of eating those dry two-bite brownies (which I agree can have their good moments), I grew up eating fudgy bakery style brownies that my mom would bake. This is that recipe.

Better than Store Bought Vanilla Cupcakes

Everybody (and I mean everybody) needs to have a few solid go-to recipes on hand. I will argue that one of those key recipes needs to be a good vanilla cupcake recipe. Why you ask? Because vanilla cupcakes are staples for potlucks, birthday parties, and rainy day baking projects.

DIY Pinterest Aesthetic Tote Bag – Upcycle Canvas Tote Bags!

In Vancouver, the price to purchase a single use plastic bag has recently gone up to 25 cents. Stores are also going more “green” by often saying “spend x amount and we’ll give you a reusable bag for free”. BUT did you know that for a reusable bag to be more eco friendly than a […]

DIY Pearl Claw Clips (less than $5!)

Turns out, the dollar store isn’t the worst place to find claw clips. I found three claw clips for $1.50 a piece. I also found faux pearls and rhinestone stickers for an additional $2 AND I even went above and beyond and bought some regular faux pearl beads as well.
